And verily there was much rejoicing when it was announced that on the chosen Sabbath ,being the 7th rock n roll day of May, that the good peoples of Perth were to gather , feast and rejoice with the soi-disant chosen merry band of minstrels for an intimate evening of Song at the Four5Nine band room in North Perth. Guided across the Southern autumn skies by the ever twinkling Folkstar in the Singer/Songwriter constellation ,the masses should gather and grow fatter on the platter of heartfelt rhythm and melody.  Indeed a feast of talent with Steve Hensby and a gypsy circus of stories ,accompanied by the ubiquitous part accordion, part Goddess , Nikki Dagostino…..( his new double album releasing end of May)….like a fresh breath of spring air, Minky G with a voice of honey and a bucketful of optimistic breezy acoustic pop moments to massage your Beatle heart …….heading down from the Darling Ranges with cheeky ,dark tales of love and loss ,we bring Boy On A Hill ,road testing their wares before they go bush with various smoked and salted German microphones ….then behold…the deeply passionate songstress Xanthea O’Connor, ventures into those rocky, abandoned crevices only a broken soul and piano can stray….and finally WAMI nominated multi-instrumentalist Mark Turner on the back of his 2017 “Made for Us “EP….the Four5Nine Bandroom  is the perfect setting to bask in the warmth of his intimate, honest songwriting. $10 entry from 6pm.
