KIM SALMON has a long list of musical credits to his name.
Whether it’s rocking out with The Beasts of Bourbon, shooting up the charts with Hoodoo Gurus’ Dave Faulkner in Antenna, folk noir collaborations with Died Pretty front man Ron Peno in The Darling Downs or celebrated recordings under his own name especially influential 90s outfit Kim Salmon & the Surrealists, Kim Salmon has carved his own place in Australia’s musical landscape.
Overseas he is regarded as the “Godfather of Grunge” and often credited as the creator of its sound with seminal act, THE SCIENTISTS. His fans include Nirvana, Mudhoney, Sonic Youth, Henry Rollins and more.
In “Labcoat Tales”, Kim walks you through the story of the Scientists moving chronologically through the bands repertoire recounting various anomalies and incidents that made up the ‘Scientific method’ interspersed with the songs themselves.
From Cheap and Nasty to The Human Jukebox and a whole lot of ‘bad’ places in between Kim has found that the solitary stage is not such a bad place, with plenty left to explore.
Kim is looking forward to telling his Labcoat Tales to you!
