iMprov

Tura New Music’s iMprov series presents experimental and exploratory improvisation at bar Four5Nine once a month on a Monday night.

After recent appearances in BIFEM and Cat Hope’s ‘Speechless’ opera development, Shoshana Rosenberg visits from Adelaide to share her radical chant-like and transformative explorations of vulnerability on clarinet.

Dan O’Connor delivers an all-too-rare solo performance – perhaps the most involved brass player in the city in extended technique realms, Dan’s solos are precise, articulate and phenomenal.

Off the back of the release of their album ‘Motivated’, More Options search for new possibilities by colliding experimental ambient textures with improvised spoken word, weaving between colourful electroacoustic spaces and unusual rhythmics.
